What is a Blog Anyway?

"It [the log-book] is a journal of all important items happening on shipboard, contains the data from which the navigator determines his position by dead-reckoning ... and is, when properly kept, a complete meteorological journal. On board merchant ships the log is kept by the first officer: on board men-of-war, by the navigator." [Century Dictionary, 1897]

So, In the modern world a 'blog' is a relatively new form of an old activity.

So much has changed and yet, stayed the same. The exploration of the sense world has now turned within. A blog documents an inner journey in an outer world, but I sometimes wonder who is the Captain of this ship?

The 'ship's log' became the 'web log' and thanks to human ingenuity the web log was cleverly reinterpreted to be: 'we blog' and then, as is the case with the convenience of modernism, it was shortened to 'blog'.

...And here we are, expressing what moves in our souls, just in case it might be interesting to others or even perhaps, make a difference.

I have an interest in how we humans are evolving within the age of the Consciousness Soul.

Progressing from a ship's log to a blog (soul's log) gives me hope.

It may be a fitting analology for the transition required to move from exploring the outer sense world toward an understandog of the inner 'tetrain' of the human soul.
